Clay Street Studios

Proposed visual identity and collateral for client Clay Street Studios; a ceramics workspace and shopfront in Portland, Oregon, offering workshops, firings, and hosting evening events. We were offered a small budget to create an identity system that was evoking the founders’ overall ethos of community and accessibility as well as embeddedness in place. Our designs reference abstracted vessel forms, classic rubber stamps, and the colors and textures of the Pacific Northwest. A riso printer was used to achieve texture and tangability in the logos and lockup, contributing intrigue and depth to the overall identity. This project was created in collaboration with Leigh Annand.
